Grama Jyothi is aimed at development: KCR Hyderabad, Aug 20 (INN): Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao participated in the 'Grama Jyothi' programme in Yerravalli village in his Gajwel constituency of Medak district on Thursday.
Speaking on the occasion, KCR said that the 'Grama Jyothi' programme was started to ensure development of villages. He said Yerravalli was his native place and he would take all steps for its development. He promised to provide 2BHK houses to the poor people of this village.
KCR also promised better road connectivity and sanitation in the village. He said all the households in the village would get piped water supply. He directed the officials to take cleaning of village on Friday and assured that he himself would participate in the works.
The Chief Minister advised the people of Yerravalli village to emulate the Ankapur of Nizamabad district where the villagers' unity and dedication turned their village into a model for the entire State. He informed that the combined deposits in two banks of Ankapur were around Rs. 22 crore. He assured that Yerravalli would be given a major facelift in the next six months. He also sanctioned 132 KV sub-station and drip irrigation project for the village.
KCR also claimed that the TRS Government has overcome the energy crisis within one year after coming to power. He said that the government would provide power for nine hours to agriculture sector from March next year.
