TPCC to launch agitation against liquor policy Hyderabad, Aug 21 (INN): Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy has strongly opposed the new cheap liquor policy of the TRS Government.
Speaking to media persons in Neredcherla of Nalgonda district here on Friday, Uttam Kumar Reddy alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao was trying to promote cheap liquor in the name of eradicating consumption of 'gudamba' (illicit liquor). He said instead of concentrating on fulfilling the promises which he made during elections, KCR is trying to popularise consumption of liquor in every household by providing cheap liquor. He said that the new policy would have a bad impact on the entire society, especially youth.
Uttam Kumar Reddy said that the TPCC would launch a massive agitation against the State Government's new policy by joining hands with different women organisations. He demanded that the State Government withdraw its policy on cheap liquor with immediate effect.
