TPCC to launch massive agitation Hyderabad, Aug 29 (INN): The Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) has decided to launch a massive agitation against the policies of TRS Government.
Addressing a press conference at Gandhi Bhavan here on Saturday, TPCC Working President Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka informed that the TPCC Coordination Committee, which met here today, has decided to launch a series of agitation programme against the government. He said that the programme schedule would be finalised within a week. He said as the main opposition party of Telangana, the Congress party gave 15 months time to the TRS Government to implement its policies and welfare programmes. However, the government has failed on all fronts and no section of the society was happy with its performance.
Bhatti said the completion of Pranahita-Chevella, Palamuru Lift Irrigation and Indra Sagar projects would resolve the water needs for irrigation, drinking water and industries. However, instead of completing these projects, the TRS Government is wasting time and public money on new projects like Water Grid. The government has also introduced several anti-people like cheap liquor which would badly affect the masses. He said many projects like the Hyderabad Metro Rail got delayed due to the negligent attitude of the State Government.
He said that the Congress would launch agitation on specific failures of the TRS Government.
When asked about the preparations for Warangal Lok Sabha by-elections, the TPCC leader said that a brief discussion was held on the issue and final decision on candidate would be taken after the issue of notification for by-elections.
