Rich tributes paid to Kaloji Hyderabad, Sept 9 (INN): Rich tributes were paid to famous Telugu poet Kalogi Narayana Rao on his 101st Jayanthi celebrations at Ravindra Bharathi here on Wednesday.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Kadiyam Srihari said that Kaloji's poetry has incited people to fight for freedom and played a revolutionary role in the society. He said Kaloji had dedicated his entire life in the service of common people.
Welcoming the decision of Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao to celebrate Kaloji Narayan Rao's Jayanthi as Telangana Language Day, Kadiyam announced that the State Government would construct an auditorium in Warangal on Kaloji's name.
Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy described Kaloji as a great personality which has brought a revolution among people through his poems and writings.
The function was also addressed by Finance Minister Eatala Rajender, Government Advisor KV Ramanachary, Telangana Cultural Committee chairman Balkishan and others.
