Sabitha did not develop RR Dist: Mahender Reddy
Hyderabad, Sept 9 (INN): Transport Minister Mahender Reddy has strongly condemned former minister and Congress senior leader P. Sabitha Indira Reddy for criticising Irrigation Minister T. Harish Rao.
Speaking to media persons here, Mahender Reddy said that despite hailing from Ranga Reddy, Sabitha Indira Reddy did not develop the district during her 10-year stint as minister in Congress Government. Instead, he alleged that Sabitha Indira Reddy looted the Telangana's wealth and handed over the same to Seemandhra leaders. He said that the former minister failed to bring even a drop of water in the RR district.
Mahender Reddy alleged that the former Chief Minister Dr. Y.S.Rajasekhara Reddy has approved the Pranahita-Chevella project design only to create an inter-State dispute so that the project remains incomplete. He said the Congress leaders, who are now opposing the change in design, never pressurise their own government for early completion of the project. He advised Sabitha Indira Reddy and other leaders to restrain from criticising the TRS Government and play the role of a constructive opposition.
