Central Emergency Cell to tackle rain related complaints Hyderabad, Sept 10 (INN): Deputy Chief Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali informed that that a Central Emergency Cell has been constituted to attend to complaints of water logging and other rainfall related grievances in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad.
Speaking to media persons after holding a review meeting with city Ministers Nayani Narasimha Reddy, Talasani Srinivas Yadav and T. Padma Rao and senior officials of different departments at the State Secretariat on Thursday, the Deputy CM said that the Central Emergency Cell would operate from Red Hills with the following numbers: 9000113667 and 23394566. He said that the Cell would be supervised by a Deputy Commissioner of GHMC.
Mahmood Ali said that the Met Department has predicted heavy to incessant rainfall in the city till September 17. Therefore, all the departments have been put on alert to tackle any emergencies. He said additional teams have been set up in addition to existing 68 emergency squads. He said all MROs too have been directed to carryout relief operations in view of heavy rainfall across the Telangana State.
