Palwai demands removal of Digvijay Singh Hyderabad, Sept 11 (INN): Rajya Sabha member Palwai Govardhan Reddy on Friday demanded removal of Digvijay Singh as the Incharge General Secretary for Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee.
Speaking to media persons at his residence here, Palwai alleged that Digvijay Singh was not playing any role to rejuvenate the party cadre in Telangana State. Infact, he was encouraging groupism in the TPCC. Stating that TPCC President N. Uttam Kumar Reddy was working efficiently, he alleged that Digvijay Singh was indirectly discouraging him.
Palwai also accused Leader of Opposition K. Jana Reddy of being inactive. He said Jana Reddy's performance was not up to the mark and he was not taking up issues concerning the common people. He said that the TRS came to power while taking advantage of groupism within the Congress party, he appealed to the High Command to take steps to keep the TPCC united and focussed.
The Congress MP also criticised Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao for spending lavishly on his China visit. He pointed out that Chinese investors do not set up their plants in other countries. They used other countries only to market their products. He said that the Chief Minister and his entire delegation were on a leisure trip and KCR personally wanted to visit some famous temples of China.
