CM asks to simplify nomenclature of revenue services Hyderabad, Sept 11 (INN): The Government of Andhra Pradesh will soon come up with simplified nomenclature for terms used in the land and revenue departments. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu today directed the department to scrap off the age-old names such as Ajmaish and others which have been creating confusion among land owners. Eventually, even the processes will be simplified, he said.
Following this, the Chief Minister directed the department to work on obtaining information on the total extent of land available in the state and make a clear classification of land records under various categories such as Reserve Forest, Government lands, Private lands and others. 'These heads can again be classified into sub-heads for records,' he added.
In a review meeting with the Revenue Department here at the CM Camp Office, the Chief Minister said that this exercise of marking lands through survey numbers and including them in Adana should be completed within 5 weeks. 'By October 3rd week, the data has to be gathered by all the surveyors on field,' he added.
Stating that the department has to work on a project-mode with set targets, the Chief Minister said that once the data is obtained and directly digitised, the records will remain permanent. 'Eventually, at a click of a button, I should be able to access and have virtual tour of all types of lands in the state,' the Chief Minister explained.
In this gargantuan task of obtaining data, the Chief Minister said field workers should not only geo-tag the lands but also be able to have the satellite map images of the area in which the land exists. 'This way, we should create layers of maps which will help us get GPS coordinates as well as crop and acreage details. Therefore, by super-imposing maps, we can clearly analyse the data,' he said.
For this, the Government of Andhra Pradesh is working with ISRO to obtain intricate details of land, standing crops, acreage, etc.
The Chief Minister directed the department to submit a weekly report on the status of data in order to monitor the regular progress of this task. 'Updating and corrections of data can simultaneously be carried out,' he added.
'I will also hold a weekly tele-conference and interact with officials regularly,' he added.
Deputy CM and Revenue Minister KE Krishna Murthy, Principal Secretary (Revenue) JC Sharma, Chief Commissioner of Land Administration Anil C. Puneetha and other officials were present in the meeting.
