School mourns death of AB Vajpayee; HM suspended A school in Odisha state has committed a blunder by mourning death of former prime minister AB Vajpayee when he is still alive. As per the reports students and teachers of primary school in Balasore district conducted a meet mourning the death of Ex-Prime Minister and closed the school.
School authorities conducted mourn meet after headmaster of the school' Kamalakanta Das informed them over phone that Vajpayee had died. The mistake occurred when Kamalakanta Das the headmaster of the school who had been attending a teachers training program in another school had learnt about the incorrect information.
As the news spread in the locality, the school committee members and villagers were taken aback. A group of locals brought it to the notice of the district Collector and demanded stringent action against the headmaster. The Collector suspended the head master and instructed to conduct a probe and submit the report by Monday. Vajapayee was not doing well since few days and he was not coming to public.
Few months before in a similar incident, Jharkhand's education minister Neera Yadav had 'paid her respects' to former President APJ Abdul Kalam when he was alive and doing fine.
