World Bank Report: AP Ranks 2nd; TS in 13 th place Within just one year, Andhra Pradesh seems to have made an impact through its investor-friendly initiatives.'Andhra Pradesh state has emerged as number 2 state in ease of doing business with 70.12% according to World Bank reports. Department of Industry Policy and Promotion (DIPP) assessed and ranked states in terms of ease of doing business on 98 parameters. Narendra modi's state Gujarata topped the list with 71.14%
Gujarat ; Andhra Pradesh ;Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh emerged as top 5 states in ease of doing business. The ranking of the states, prepared by the World Bank at the behest of the government, was based on eight specified parameters which majorly includes setting up a business, allotment of land and obtaining construction permit, carrying out inspections and enforcing contracts
Another telugu state telangana occupied 13 th spot in the list.Among the major states, West Bengal occupied 11th slot, Tamil Nadu (12th), Haryana (14th), Delhi (15th), Punjab (16th), Himachal Pradesh (17th), Kerala (18th), Goa (19th), Bihar (21st) and Assam (22nd).
The report comes as sudden boster to ruling TDP and AP chief minister Chandrababu Naidu. CBN expressed his happiness over the report and congratulated'Industries Department for implementing initiatives.'We are now targeting the number one position. We will soon make it to the list of 'leaders' category by falling in the 76-98 point score card,' N Chandrababu Naidu said.
