Encounter was aimed at helping sand mafia: Varavara Hyderabad, Sept 16 (INN): Revolutionary writer Varavara Rao has strongly condemned the killing of two alleged Maoists in an encounter with the police.
Speaking to media persons, Varavara Rao accused Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao and his government of trying to eliminate Maoists for their opposition to sand mining mafia. He said that the State Government was acting in an undemocratic manner.
Earlier, he went to the MGM Hospital in Warangal to see the bodies of alleged Maoists Shruti and Sagar Reddy.
