Thai Consul General visits Sri City Sri City, Sept 16 (INN): Somsak Triamjangarun, Consul General of Royal Thai Consulate ' General in Chennai, accompanied by a team of senior officials visited Sri City on Wednesday.
On their arrival at Business Centre, Somsak and the entourage were given a warm reception by Ravindra Sannareddy, Managing Director, Sri City.
Welcoming the delegation Ravindra Sannareddy said,"Interaction of this kind will improve the Thai-Indian business ties. I am confident, visit of this kind would pave the way for Thai businessmen to investment in Sri City."
Briefing them on the brisk pace of development of Sri City, he appended, 'We pride ourselves in providing world-class infrastructure and ensuring hassle-free operations to all our customers. Presence of several international brands here in Sri City itself stands as a testimony to our commitment."
Talking about the 'ease of doing business in Andhra Pradesh, Ravindra Sannareddy mentioned that in World Bank's latest ranking, AP emerged as the second best 'business friendly' state in India.
Speaking after the tour of Sri City, Somsak Triamjangarun said, 'This is my very first to Sri City and I am impressed with its business friendly ambience and strategic location. It has good potential to grow further and attract more foreign investors including those from Thailand."
The purpose of their visit was to gain first-hand knowledge of the infrastructure and activity at the industrial cluster. The Consul General evinced keen interest in knowing more about the infrastructure and the progress achieved thus far in Sri City. The delegation went around the campus and visited the factory of Rockworth Office Systems, a subsidiary unit of Rockworth Public Company Ltd., which is Thailand's leading manufacturer of office furniture systems.
