BCCI president Jagmohan Dalmiya died Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) president Jagmohan Dalmiya passed away on Sunday night. The 75-year-old was admitted to the city's B.M. Birla Hospital on Thursday night after complaining chest pain and he was undergoing treatment since then. As per reports Dalmiya died of internal gastrointestinal bleeding and internal organ failure.

A number of eminent personalities were at the hospital to pay their respects to Dalmiya.Former India captain and Dalmiya's friend Sourav Ganguly, Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) officials, State Ministers as well as family members were present during his last moments.
Dalmiya took over the reins of the BCCI for a second time in March, after a gap of 10 years, when he won the elections against Srinivasan. But he has been ailing since then, and his health has deteriorated further over the last few weeks.
Dalmiya is one of the well known cricketing administrator and he had served the BCCI for 36 years. He became treasurer of the BCCI in 1983 and was instrumental in helping India host the 1987 and 1996 World Cups. He also served as ICC President in 1997. Dalmiya is survived by his wife, his son Abhishek and a daughter.
