Krishna Rao directs officials ease up scarcity of sand Hyderabad, Sept 21 (INN): A detailed review meeting held today on sand mining policy by Andhra Pradesh Chief Secretary I.Y.R. Krishna Rao with the officers concerned.
To control the mining activity viz., illegal mining, role of mafia in sand sale, Government has already took a decision on sand mining policy, the Chief Secretary said. He informed that after careful examination the Government allotted identified sand reaches to the DWCRA Group, by strengthening the Vigilance Wing, Mines and Geology Department.
The Chief Secretary directed the officers to initiate steps for easing-up the situation in the districts on scarcity of sand to monitor it by appointing a responsible officer in the District. Re-operational-zing of the sand reaches and to identify the sand reaches comprehensively. Issues related on sand mining ' Non-availability of sand, non-renewal of permits within the time, using of re-circulated waybills, loading of extra quantity of sand in the trucks, illegal mining in the nights etc., are to be controlled during the mining.
SERP CEO Solomon Arokiya Raj, Director Mines and Geology Girija Sankar and others attended the meeting.
