List: AP Govt recommendations for Padma awards-2016
A total number of 30 people from various fields were nominated by the AP State Government for this year's Padma Awards - Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri, the highest civilian awards of the country. The list includes several big names like Ramoji Rao, Murali Mohan and Chaganti Koteswara Rao. The list includes several well known surgeons Dr Nageswar Reddy' Dr Soma Raju, Dr Chandrasekar Simhadri and Dr Gopala Krishna Gokhale.
AP chief secretary IYR Krishna Rao sent the list after obtaining the approval of chief minister Chandrababu Naidu. The union Ministry of Home Affairs will accept nominations and recommendations for 2015 Padma Awards till September 15. The awards are announced on Republic Day every year.

Padma Vibhushan:
Ramoji Rao and Dr Nageswar Reddy
Padma Bhushan:
Mannam Gopichand, Murali Mohan, Dr Soma Raju, Ananda Sankara Jaynthi and Chaganti Koteswara Rao.
Padma Shri:
Rajendra Prasad (actor), Veturi Sundara Ramamurthy (lyricist), Vandemataram Srinivas (music), Ramanayya (venkatagiri weaver), Pasumarthi Rattaih Sarma (kuchipudi dance), Madduri Venkateswarayazulu (vedic scholar), and Harika (chess), Kidambi Srikanth (badminton),Dr Yarlagadda Nayudamma, Dr Gopala Krishna Gokhale, Dr Chandrasekara Rao Simhadri, Dr Mohan Vamsi, Dr Dasaradharami Reddy etc.
