Sports personalities appointed as farmers' brand ambassadors Hyderabad, Sept 22 (INN): The Telangana Government on Tuesday appointed international players as brand ambassadors of State farmers.
The players - Sania Mirza, Jwala Gutta and Pragyan Ogha - would take the farmers problems to the people and would also mobilise funds for the families of those who committed suicide. They will try to involve NRIs and corporate houses in their campaign.
Meanwhile, Sania Mirza's mother Naseem Mirza donated Rs. 3 lakh to Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao for the farmers' families. While Jawala Gutta has contributed Rs. 1 lakh, Pragyan Ogha too has agreed to make financial contribution.
