Congress chalk-out strategies for monsoon session Hyderabad, Sept 23 (INN): A meeting to chalk-out the strategies for monsoon session by Congress MLAs and MLCs, under the leadership of TPCC chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy was held in Gandhi Bhavan on Tuesday.
In depth discussion on the issues, engulfing the state including, loan waiver, farmers' suicides, power problems, crop insurance, private lending by farmers and problems with the current marketing system was held. The Legislatures recalled that the Congress government waived off the arrears of electricity, provided free electricity, settled loan waiver in one go, while on the other hand the current government has irreversible damage to these schemes and also failed to resolve crop insurance. They have decided to get prepared with in depth study of the issues each would be taking up in the Assembly. Government G Os, reports prepared by various agencies and old news, would be used as ammunition towards providing justice to the farmers'.
The meeting was chaired by Uttam Kumar Reddy, while working President Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, Leader of Opposition in Legislative Council Mohammed Ali Shabbir, Kisan Cell president M Kodanda Reddy and representatives of different farmers Unions spoke on the occasion. Deputy Floor Leader in Assembly T Jeevan Reddy, D K Aruna, G Chinna Reddy, S A Sampath Kumar, T Rammohan Reddy, MLC M S Prabhakar and several others were present.
