Four B.Tech students drowned at Suryalanka In a shocking incident four engineering students of Vignan Engineering College, Vadlamudi, drowned off Suryalanka beach in Guntur district on Friday.
The victims G Krishnaprasad of Rambhotlavaripalem in Guntur district and Mahesh of Nalgonda and Srinivas of Tenali and Jaidev of Guntur were among the thirteen students, who came to take bath in the beach on Friday. As many as 13 students of the college went to the beach as it was a holiday on account of Bakrid. Among them four students who went too far off could not face the strong waves and drifted away.
They had ventured into the choppy sea disregarding the warning issued by the life guards on duty at the beach. Soon they got trapped in the strong waves and were washed away. The dead bodies of two students were found, but two bodies are yet to be found. All the students are from mechanical second year class.
Among four, Gudivada Krishna Prasad from Rambhatla Palem and Mahesh from Nalgonda district were found dead on the seashore while Srinivas from Tenali and Jaidev from Guntur are still missing
