Farmers Suicide: T-MLA praises late YSR
Telangana Assembly opened with stormy note on Tuesday and farmer's suicide issue had rocked both houses. Suspending question hour and other business, both houses took up a debate on the issue. It was marred by allegations and counter-allegations by the ruling and opposition parties. Participating in the debate, main opposition Congress Party's Jeevan Reddy and Telugu Desam Party's E. Dayakar Rao said the implementation of loan waiver scheme in installments was leading to suicides.But what surprised many are the comments of MIM leader Akbaruddin on Farmers suicide.
In the discussion about the farmer's suicides, Akbaruddin brought in the reference of Agricultural crop loan waiver implemented by the former CM late YSR. He questioned the phased manner waive off of the loans and praised the late YSR saying that the credit goes to YSR for waiving off loans in one go.
Earlier'today'the'' Assembly had a tense beginning with Akbaruddin Owaisi stating that there must be a discussion on the encounter of Vikaruddin. However, the Speaker Madhusunana Chary denied permission and stated that the issue of farmers' suicide is far more important.
When Owaisi refused to agree it was the Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao stepped in and said that farmers issues was of for more important and added that a discussion on Vikaruddin will be taken later.
