Police foil suicide bid near Assembly
Hyderabad, Sept 30 (INN): The City Police on Wednesday arrested a youth who tried to set himself ablaze near the Telangana State Legislative Assembly.
While the Assembly proceedings were on, a youth tried to attempt suicide by self immolation. However, the security and media personnel swung into action and foiled his bid.
The youth had come to the city to participate in the "Chalo Assembly" rally held by Left parties and other organisations in protest against the Warangal encounter.
The youth said he was resorting to the extreme step due to 'dirty politics' in the State.
