Babu names Lokesh as TDP General Secretary Vijayawada, Sept 30 (INN): Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) national president Nara Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday appointed his son Lokesh as an ex-officio member of party's politburo and General Secretary of the Central Committee.
Lokesh, who held the post of Coordinator of Cadre Welfare Fund, has been elevated to the post of General Secretary of party's first ever Central body.
Naidu has also announced a Central Committee and two State Committees for Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. While former minister Kimidi Kala Venkata Rao has been named as President of TDP's Andhra Pradesh unit, L. Ramana has been re-nominated as Telangana unit president. MLA A. Revanth Reddy, who was arrested in 'Cash for Vote' case by Telangana ACB, has been elevated to the post of Working President of the Telangana Committee.
Naidu's brother-in-law N. Harikrishna, Union Minister P. Ashok Gajapathi Raju, Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, K.E. Krishnamurthy, K. Srinivasulu, Errabelli Dayakar Rao, Ravula Chandrasekhar Reddy, S. Chandramohan Reddy, T. Devender Goud, Uma Madhava Reddy are among the 17-member politburo. There are four ex-officio members of politburo including Lokesh.
