TS Govt plans to take over Race Course
Hyderabad, Oct 10 (INN): Commercial Taxes Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav on Saturday said that the State Government proposes to take over Race Course at Malakpet.
Speaking to media persons at the State Secretariat here, Talasani said that the Race Course has been organising gambling of several crores, but it was not paying the tax to the government. He said that the tax evasion came to light after a 60-member team of Commercial Tax Department conducted raids on six out of 24 bookies. He said several documents have been seized during the raids. He said that the Income Tax officials are likely to refer the matter to Money Laundering Department.
Talasani said that the State Government would take over the Race Course and proposes to set up an IT Tower.
