Police foil YS Jagan's Deeksha and shifted him to Hospital Police foiled YSR Congress party president and opposition leader Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy's fast early on Tuesday by shifting him to a hospital, where he was forcibly administered fluids.
The team led by Additional Superintendent of Police J Bhaskara Rao reached the deeksha camp at 4 am and asked Jagan to end the fast. When Jagan appears reluctant Cops forcibly shifted YCP Chief to the Government General Hospital.
He was taken to a government hospital in an ambulance and was admitted to the intensive care unit.Jagan had already lost over 2.5 kgs. He began suffering intense dehydration and found it very difficult to walk to give sample of his urine.
Jagan's mother Vijayamma, wife Bharathi and other family members and senior party leaders rushed to the hospital to meet him.YCP leaders said the police did not accord the respect that the leader of the Opposition rightly deserves.YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has been on a fast for the past seven days demanding special status to the state of Andhra Pradesh as was promised in Lok Sabha at the time of bifurcation.
