AP Govt platform for NRIs, APNRT

Vijayawada: 'We want to thank all Non Resident Telugus who played an active role directly or indirectly for the success of Amaravathi Foundation ceremony' said Dr Ravi Kumr Vemuru, Adviser- NRI Affairs & Investments, Govt of Andhra Pradesh.

Speaking on the grand success of historic Amaravathi Foundation Ceremony in the middest of over 2 lakh public, 20,000 Telugu Business & political leaders and over 750 Non Resident Telugus, Dr Ravi Kumar Vemuru said 'we sincerely thank Sri Chandrababu Naidu garu, Hon'ble CM who agreed to our proposals and gave importance to Non Resident Telugus to participate in the historic Amaravati ceremony. The newly formed wing for Andhra Pradesh Non Resident Telugus (NRTs) played a very active role in the ceremony involving NRTs all over the world. We sent Invitations to over 32,000 Non Resident Telugus in 28 countries as per the available data and NRTs have really appreciated this gesture of receiving Invitations by name from Chief Minister of the State and over 2,400 people responded to us. Our Dept opened Concierge service in Nagarjuna University campus and organized distribution of Invitations and car passes for the function to all visiting and registered NRTs. In the ceremony also, we coordinated for a prominent space for NRTs and our volunteers guided the visiting NRTs to their place and also distributed T shirts, Caps, hand bag with water bottle and biscuit packets etc on the event day.'

Dr Ravi Vemuru also said 'Non Resident Telugus have always played important and significant roles in various developmental and charitable activities in their mother land ' Andhra Pradesh through their own individual or group projects or any Govt proposed projects. Now thanks to the vision of Chief Minister Sri Chandra Babu Naidu garu, we have a plat form for NRTs from all over the world to take care of their service and investment needs and AP NRT office has already started functioning and participating in Amaravati foundation ceremony was its first task. We are right now are in the process of creating a master data of all NRTs connecting to their villages in A P State and we request all NRTs to visit our site www.apnrt.com and register them selves. While assuring confidentiality to the data, we will analyse the data and develop necessary systems and procedures meeting the needs and requirements.

In the first phase, we are in the process of establishing Temple Tourism for NRTs. We have discussed with Officials of TTD and Endowments Dept for online services and special sevas for NRTs in Tirumala and other major temples like Vijayawada Kanaka Durga temple, Annavaram temple, Simhachalam temple, Srisailam temple, Kanipakam temple etc. AP NRT will provide all the services starting from booking of accommodation, darshan etc.

In the 2nd phase, AP NRT is now setting up Concierge services for the required assistance for travel and related arrangements, Parental assistance, applying for and following up for Documents with Govt bodies, Guidance for Procedures etc

In the third phase, AP NRT will be operating for NRT Investments with in the State and here also we are setting up a system of providing all necessary Govt policies and guidelines and incentive packages to the potential investors and entrepreneurs motivating them to start their businesses in AP and also another system of developing Packages from time to time giving secure investment opportunities.

We are confident that as a Govt Platform, APNRT will be doing the required liaison for NRTs and at this juncture all we need is more and more NRTs to get into our database' said Dr Ravi.
