TS Govt sells Toor Dal at Rs. 135 per kg Hyderabad, Oct 31 (INN): Finance and Civil Supplies Minister Etala Rajender inaugurated the special counter at Erragadda Rythu Bazar to sell Toor Dal at Rs. 135 per kg.
Speaking on the occasion, Eatala said that special counters have been across the Telangana State to sell Grade-I Toor Dal at the subsidised rates of Rs. 135 per kg in view of their rising prices. He reminded that similar counters were opened when the prices of onions were on the rise. He warned of severe action against those who are hoarding the essential commodities and said cases under PD Act would be registered against them.
The minister informed that the Toor Dal at subsidised rates would also be sold at all fair price shops from Sunday onwards.
Meanwhile, Commercial Taxes Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav inaugurated the special counter at the Civil Supplies Corporation shop in the State Secretariat. He said while the Toor Dal was being sold for Rs. 200-220 per kg, Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao has ensured the supply of same at Rs. 135 for the poor and middle-class people. He said all the employees working in Secretariat would benefit from the special counter.
