23 candidates in fray for Warangal by-elections Hyderabad, Nov 7 (INN): As many as 23 candidates are in fray for the by-elections to Warangal Lok Sabha seat for which voting will be held on November 21.
Chief Electoral Officer Bhanwarlal informed that 38 nominations were received for the by-elections. Of them, seven were rejected for different reasons and eight candidates have withdrawn their candidature. Therefore, after the end of deadline for withdrawal of nominations on Saturday, 23 candidates have remained in the fray.
The candidates include P. Dayakar (TRS), Sarve Satyanarayana (Congress), P. Devaiah (BJP-TDP), G. Vinod Kumar (Left Parties) and N. Surya Prakash (YSRCP). The CEO said that the polling will be held from 7 AM to 5 PM on November 21 and results will be declared on November 24.
