Gajju, the golden baby elephant lands in Hyderabad Hyderabad , Nov 9 (INN): For the next seven days from November 14th, our people friendly golden baby elephant- aptly named as Gajju will be visiting the Nizams city of Hyderabad as part of the 19th International Children's Film Festival of India . He has been knocking at door steps of his fans in the state capital with his basketful of films , and a bouquet of cultural , educative , adventurous events and entertainment .
Gajju ,the dancing golden baby elephant is the mascot of the children;s film movement and the international children s film festival of India. He has been coming once in two years with an entirely new theme of films and entertainment. 'This time we have digital India theme, as Gajju knows that children of today live mostly on cartoon and video films on their mobiles and laptops 'says Naveen Mittal, Commissioner of I & PR and Director of the 19th ICFFI.
This is not the first visit of Gajju, he has been coming to Hyderabad for last one decade and enthralling the children with his antics, and also basketball of films.
Animation films, films made for children, films made by children .The puffy, adorable and lovable Gajju goes around Hyderabad and also district towns of Telangana entertaining and enthralling children of all age groups with cartoons, adventure films and also those on themes addressed towards children.
The goal and objective of the Golden Elephant theme of the children's film society was to promote cinema that is created exclusively for children and to cultivate insight and understanding of other cultures, lives and experiences among children through the medium of film. 'We love Gajju and also his basketful of films which brought cheers and joy among children and I am confident lakhs of children will benefited in this festival also 'said Dr Shravan Kumar, CEO of the CFSI.
In fact Gajju provided high quality, entertaining, multi-cultural cinema for children and also encouraged children's content that is non-violent, humane and thought provoking. It was also one of the salient agenda of the CFSI to support the work of talented and dedicated children's film-makers and encourage the exchange of ideas among them.
