SBI inaugurates Golden Jubilee branch
Hyderabad, Nov 16 (INN): Rajnish Kumar, Managing Director, Group Executive (NBG, State Bank of INdia inaugurated the Golden Jubilee branch at Banjara Hills here on Monday.
The branch was inaugurated on the eve of Golden Jubilee celebrations of Hyderabad Circle, which was formed in the year 1965. Hyderabad Circle (Telangana and AP) is one of the largest Circle in the country among all such 14 Circles of SBI. This branch is 1448th in the Hyderabad Circle, 447th in Telangana and 207th in twin cities.
Rajnish Kumar has met valued SME customers of the bank along with the representatives of FTAPCCI and FICCI to know from the industry majors on what is happening at the ground level and the way forward from here as both the State Governments are on fore front in attracting industries.
Hyderabad Circle CGM Hardayal Prasad, General Managers Ashwin Mehta, Giridhara Kini and H.K. Jena were also present on the occasion.
Speaking to media persons later, Rajnish Kumar informed that the bank would recruit 7,000 people including 2,000 Probationer Officers. Of 700 branches planned during this financial year, so far, 100 have already been inaugurated. With the inauguration of Golden Jubilee Branch, the total number of SBI branches in the country has touched 16,450. The bank also have 55,000 ATMs. The bank is also planning a new Android App, he said.
