Police conduct 'Samagra Nerastula Survey'
Hyderabad, Nov 23 (INN): In an effort to build a proper data base of its Criminals, the Cyberabad Police started the field verification of criminals in all the 181 sectors of its 44 Law & Order Police Stations.
Since 2009, as many as 24,707 property offenders have been arrested by Cyberabad Police in all types of property offences ranging from Dacoity to Ordinary thefts. Out of these only 9,192 were found to be residents of Cyberabad's jurisdiction while the remaining are from Hyderabad - other districts of TS and other States of India.
For instance, out of 960 Chain Snatchers arrested since 2009, only 92 are of Cyberabad, 321 are residents of Hyderabad city and 330 are of residents of Ranga Reddy district.
Therefore, there is a lack of proper supervision over property offender due to jurisdictional problems. Now, it is decided to conduct these intensive surveys and share data with each other So as to keep a watch over the criminals by opening Suspects sheets.
After spending the entire last week on segregating the data and also data received from Hyderabad City about Cyberabad Criminals, sector wise & forming teams, Cyberabad Commissioner C.V.Anand launched the survey by visiting Hafeezpet area of Miyapur Police Station and personally filling out the criminals personal Data from which runs into two page. The Data is of Gonepally Sriniavs (30) and Syed Asad (25).
Their fingerprints were also collected and fresh photographs taken. Suspect sheets will be opened to keep a watch. The from contains all details, of all relatives of the offender and other Identity card details like Aadhaar, PAN and Ration card etc.,
This physical verification will go till 29th of November. From 30th November till 5th December, the CP, Jt.CP & DCPs will make surprise visits to find out if the exercise has been carried out in true spirit by SHOs/Sector SIs.
Later the CP Cyberabad visited eatery started by Cyberabad Police for the rehabitation of notorious HB offender M.Naresh, who is now self sufficient and earning Rs 1500/- per day and given up crime totally.
