Doctors relief team leaves for Chennai Hyderabad, Dec 19 (INN): A large team of doctors, technicians and volunteers left for Chennai on Saturday along with medicines and relief material for the Chennai flood victims.
The Chennai Flood Relief Camp team was flagged off at Nampally Railway Station by Greater Hyderabad Congress Committee (Minorities Department) Chairman Shaik Abdullah Sohail and GHCC General Secretary Syed Nizamuddin. Foundation Chairman Dr. Mohammed Farid, Rizwan, Salman, Ahmed, Muneer and other volunteers were also present.
"The Foundation has arranged medicines for nearly 8,000 people and 1,000 blankets will also be distributed among flood victims," informed Syed Nizamuddin, who is also the Convener of Healthier Heart Foundation. He said this is the first batch of relief team and material being sent to Chennai. He said additional teams and material will be sent to Chennai soon. The relief team is led by Dr. Farid.
