CTA - NATS help Pack 220,000 Meals


Chicago, USA: Chicago Telugu Association members successfully conducted packing of meals for malnourished poor children as part of the million packs program at Feed My Starving Children at Aurora, IL. The CTA and NATS team contributed to pack about 220,000 meals which could serve 650 kids for complete year.



Speaking on this occasion CTA President Nagendra Vege outlined the importance of Telugu Community involving in mainstream charity activities in USA. He further said this is one of top charity event conducted by CTA and NATS volunteers with immense satisfaction, which has huge impact on the lives of kids all around the world and widely appreciated by Feed My Starving Children organization.



More than 150 volunteers from CTA has worked tirelessly to make this event a successful. CTA Executive members Madan Pamulapati, Subba Rao Putruvu, Rajesh Veedulamudi, Ram Tunuguntla, Aravind Koganti and Murali Kalagara participated.



Murthy Koppaka (IDA Solution), Mahesh Kakarala (Vensar Technology) arranged food for the volunteers.

CTA Women team led by Bindu Balineni, Rani Vege, Geetha Kagati, Sridevi Chigurupati, Bhavani Sarasvathi, Hema Tatineni, Priya Kanna, Kousalya Gutta and Shahana Khan participated and coordinated the event.

Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) is a non-profit organization committed to feeding children hungry in body and spirit. Volunteer's hand-pack meals specially formulated for malnourished children, and they are sent to partners around the world where they're used to operate orphanages, schools, clinics and feeding programs to break the cycle of poverty.



FMSC thanked CTA and its volunteers for their generosity to help poor children across world.

Other members who volunteered at this includes Pandu Chengalasetty, Manohar Pamulapati, Kiran Movva, Kiran Ambati, Ramgopal Devarapalli, Sriram Vannemreddy, Ravindra Chigurupati and Vamsi Manne.

All participants were appreciated with service certificates by Chicago Telugu Association.

Nagendra Vege, President of CTA thanked all participants and reiterated that CTA is a service oriented organization and committed to help the community.
