HYSEA Annual SME Summit on July 6


 
Hyderabad, June 15 (INN): The Silver Jubilee apex body of 300 plus IT and Software companies, HYSEA, Hyderabad Software Enterprises Association announced its Annual SMEs (Small and Medium Enterprises) Summit. The one full day summit will be held on 6th July at Hotel Avasa here in city at Madhapur.

The theme of the Summit "Insights to Grow', will be a platform for IT SMEs to explore the opportunities across Industry verticals/Geographies as well as Government Sectors available to IT SMEs.

Disclosing this, Ranga Pothula, President of HYSEA, said, SMEs play a huge role in growth of any sector. They are the back bone of any economy. They account for 10 per cent of the Rs 68,000-crore software exports from Telangana. They face a whole set of challenges such as Access to Capital, Competition, Overheads, Limited Resources, Taxation, Regulation and others. Summits like these help them align online with the emerging sectors and growing market demands.

The Key Focus Areas for the Summit include Defence Sector, The Life Sciences, Data Sciences. These are the few emerging sectors to be tapped by IT SMEs. The lead generation for IT SMEs through Digital Marketing is an additional focus area and big take away of the Summit, added Ranga Pothula.

A speaker from Gartner is roped in to talk about Opportunity landscape for IT SMEs cutting across Industry verticals / Geographies and Technology adoption by Global enterprises and small businesses alike.

Another session on Opportunities in Defence Sector will be aimed at making IT SMEs familiar with the plethora of opportunities and align their capabilities and make forward looking investments to tap those opportunities.

Defence is a huge sector with endless opportunities which can be explored. Defence programs for air, naval and land applications, including radar, sonar, signal processing, data acquisition, laser guidance, tracking, simulators and communications. High-end technologies such as radio communications, GIS, embedded systems, avionics, product and system engineering, on-board computer design and development put together, IT SMEs can find endless opportunities in this sector.

Sponsors Session by Franklin Templeton on Money Management will enable IT SMEs to plan and deploy their excess money, tax efficiently and SIP led investments for the employees.

Life Sciences is a futuristic sector with future full of promises with sub sectors like Pharmaceutical, Biotech, Medical Devices and Diagnostics, Medical Imaging, Drug Design and discovery, Increasing Clinical trial efficiencies, Bioinformatics, Genomics, etc. And IT has major role to play in these sectors. The session will throw open window of business opportunities in Life Sciences for IT SMEs as it is going to be the future.

Data science is yet another promising sector which will have enormous opportunities to IT SMEs. Considered as an interdisciplinary filed, data enabled decision making by enterprises is thing of the future. Speakers will throw light on What should an IT SME do build to build a strong and vibrant practice in data sciences given the technology and usage trends.
