Rachakonda Police launches Cab Registration
Hyderabad, Nov 1 (INN): To ensure all Taxies and Cabs operate in Rachakonda Police Commissionerate in an orderly manner and also to ensure safety of passengers using above mentioned type of vehicles, the Rachakonda Police on Tuesday launched Cab Registration programme in support with the Society for Cyberabad Security Council.
The inaugural programme was attended by Rachakonda Police Commissioner Mahesh Bhagwat, SCSC Secretary Bharani, Traffic Forum Head Krishna Yedula, Telangana State Cabs and Bus Operators Association president Syed Nizamudin and other senior officials.
The Cabs and Taxies, which will be operating in the jurisdiction of Rachakonda Police Commissionerate, have to registered with Rachakonda Traffic Police from today onwards.
The Cab Owners/ Drivers have to apply for cab registration in the format prescribed at L.B Nagar Compounding booth, application format can be easily downloaded using URL http://www.cto.gov.in/CabResigtration.htm. Filled application's should be enclosed with a copy of each valid RC, DL, Permit, Fitness, Insurance, Pollution Certificate of the concerned vehicles, ID Proofs of (owner / Driver), Address Proofs like (Gas Connection details / Aadhar Card etc), 2 Passport size Photographs and Phone numbers for contacting.
Applications will be scrutinized and correct applications will sanction cab stickers containing QR code from L.B Nagar compounding booth. Sanctioned stickers must be sticked on front and rear side of the vehicle, clearly visible to all for easy identification.
This registration issued will be valid for a period of one year or validity of documents whichever is earliest. On expiry they have to apply for renewal.

Each cab registration sticker issued by Traffic Police department contains a separate QR Code, by scanning QR code available on the Cab Registration sticker with (QR code scanner app) vehicle details of the concerned cab/ taxi can be easily downloaded, passengers can easily forward the downloaded details through text message, e Mail, WhatsApp etc to Police department for any assistance.
