Cong leaders' pipe dreams Hyderabad: Former president of India Abdul Kalam talked about 'dare to dream, strive to achieve.' The Congress leaders in our state seem to have taken it literally. Now, many of them are 'dreaming' but they dream of becoming the next chief minister.
There are Andhra dreams and Telangana dreams. Some are dreaming of being the next Andhra CM and some in the T-camp are dreaming of being the first CM of the Telangana.
Recently, while talking with media, former minister JC Diwakar Reddy ticked off cynics who call leaders over-ambitious. He explained the hierarchy. First, a leader aspires to be an MLA, then a minister, and then the chief minister. What is wrong? he wanted to know.
Similarly, minister Jana Reddy who is spearheading the ministers of Telangana for achieving a separate state is also dreaming of becoming the first CM of Telangana. He had taken the lead to see that all the T-ministers attended the Cabinet meeting at the Camp Office.
Jana asked, 'If people want me to be the CM, how can I reject their desire? G Venkat Ramana Reddy is another leader from T, who is being pushed by the anti-Jana camp to be the contender for the CM's post. So there is no end to the line of aspirants for the CM's post in Andhra and also in Telangana.
If Congress leaders are aspiring to become the chief minister from Telangana, then what is the fate of the TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao who almost sacrificed his life for the sake of Telangana? If not KCR then what about the Dalit leader who is going to be proposed by the TRS?
