Jagan looks for other parties support Hyderabad: The beleaguered YSR son Jagan Mohan Reddy is looking hopefully at the BJP and CPI, among others for moral support. Leaders close to Jagan told that the young leader is of the opinion that the leaders of other political parties have realised how the Congress is unnecessarily targetting Jagan for abandoning the Congress party.
What is boosting the Jagan group's confidence is the statement of the Leader of Opposition Sushma Swaraj and BJP leader Arun Jaitley that Jagan is a victim of witchhunt by the Congress to settle scores with him using the CBI.
Their statement came when they were discussing how the CBI was used as a political arm to bring rivals to their knees. It is another matter Venkaiah Naidu has clarified that BJP was opposing the way Congress has been behaving with Jagan ever since he left the party and not at the ommissions and commissions of YSR and Jagan.
The CPI leader Narayana said in an open statement that the communists will not keep quiet if Jagan was victimised. But if Jagan is involved in illegal business, then they will not come in the way of the enforcing authorities he said.
In a recent party meeting, Jagan told said he was not guilty and that there is no chance of his getting arrested. His assurance came in the backdrop of strong rumours that he will be arraigned after YSR's 2nd death anniversary on Friday Jagan is very confident that he will be supported by the BJP at the national level and by the Communists at the state level if he proves that he has done nothing wrong.
Consequently, his supporters are advising Jagan to come out with an open statement to people and the non-Congress parties describing how he was being targeted by the Congress.
On the other hand Jagan has become more confident since yesterday after shaking hands with his uncle Viveka at Idupulapaya. Viveka openly criticised the leaders who were talking against his brother YS Rajasekhar Reddy and also naming him in the CBI report. Viveka threatened to start a new group with the real followers of YSR.
Trouble brewed at the PCC chief Botsa's meeting on Friday where YSR supporters disrupted his meeting and broke chairs when Botsa said the party had lost 150 seats due to the policies of YSR.
