TDP - YSR Congress booklet war

HYDERABAD: It is a war of booklets between the Telugu Desam and YSR Congress Party. Both the TDP and YSRC brought out booklets on Tuesday accusing each other.

The TDP which had already published books on corruption of YS Rajasekhara Reddy, Gali Janardhan Reddy and YS Jaganmohan Reddy, brought out another booklet Yedi Kaavali? (What do you want?). The booklet explains to the people that the TDP is committed to development. The YSRC is known for 'corruption' and the Congress for 'inefficiency'. Of the three which one do you want? it asks people.

The management of Sakshi owned by Jagan, circulated a booklet Kutrala Loguttu (The secret behind conspiracies). It was distributed to readers of various newspapers through vendors. It is the first booklet published by the Jagan camp to counter the corruption charges levelled by the TDP.

In its booklet, the TDP has highlighted the transparent and efficient governance provided by the party regime right from NT Rama Rao. 'NTR was committed to the welfare of Sakala Juanulu.' The development witnessed by the state during the regime of N Chandrababu Naidu, including setting up of ISB and Hitec City, is also highlighted in it.

It has touched upon how the corrupt rulers grabbed the increased wealth of the state. The looting of wealth in YSR rule, the favours showered on Janardhan Reddy, the CBI searches in Jagan's houses and assets are also covered.

The inefficient rule of the Congress and the 'failures' of the government on various fronts are exposed in it. 'The Congress has created a rift between people of two regions. The Congress-led UPA Government is responsible for the present political uncertainty in the state. People are comparing the transparent rule of TDP with that of inefficient Congress government and corrupt YSR regime.'

Meanwhile Kutrala Loguttu explains why Jagan is being targeted unnecessarily. 'The ruling Congress and Opposition TDP cannot digest the growing popularity of Jagan.

That is why Jagan has become an enemy to two villains.' The booklet which describes the allegations against Jagan's assets as concocted stories, tries to explain how the businesses of Jagan flourished over a period of time.

Jagan's booklet dismisses the theory of quid pro quo case and claims that those who invested in Jagan's companies did not left the businesses to him. In fact, the investors are taking profits from Jagan's companies. The booklet also highlights the corruption during Naidu's rule.

It contains a list of land allotments done during the TDP rule. Accusing the Opposition TDP of resorting to malicious campaign against Jagan, it has exuded confidence that the truth prevails.

However, the two booklets with a lot of information and cartoons, provide ample opportunity to people to come to their own conclusions. Asked about his reaction on Sakshi's booklet, Naidu said: 'They may do such things. But Jagan should give answers to the contents in our booklet.'
