Jagan's odarpu yatra in Telangana
Hyderabad: Will the YSR Congress party President YS Jaganmohan Reddy embark on odarpu yatra in Telangana again? The buzz doing the rounds in the party, that Jagan Mohan Reddy is planning to take up odarpu yatra to console the bereaved families in the districts of Telangana in December.
Since Sakala Janula Samme was on the verge of being called off, the YSR party leaders were of the view that once the samme was totally called off, it would take another five months to intensify the Telangana movement and that would be the right time for Jagan to visit the region.
The party leadership has already held meetings with Nalgonda, Ranga Reddy and Medak district leaders where the YSR Congress has some cadre. If all goes well, Jagan will take up the yatra in December.
The district leaders were eagerly waiting for Jagan's nod. If the situation remained normal in the region in the last month of the year, the leaders also propose to organise road shows highlighting the farmers' issues in the adjoining districts of the city.
The YSR party has been maintaining that it respects the sentiments of Telangana people. As the Centre has the authority to form the state, the party will not oppose the bifurcation of the State.
