Congress, Jagan in poaching game Hyderabad: While members of the opposition parties have been demanding convening of the assembly session, the Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy is making all out efforts to see that the winter session is pushed to December so that he can gather more number of MLAs for winning a possible no-confidence motion.
In a meeting of floor leaders held by Speaker Nadendla Manohar earlier, the representatives of all opposition parties requested the Speaker to convene the Assembly session to discuss issues concerning the people in the State at the earliest.
They wanted it in November and there were rumours that the session would be in the last week of this month.
But sources close to Chief Minister indicated that it would not be before December and by then the Congress party would try some of the members supporting Jagan to come back into the Congress fold.
They also told Jagan supporters, that now the CBI is probing the link between Jagan and the Gali brothers, they have no future with Jagan party.
For luring the Jagan supporters the Congress is trying to rope in the former advisor and friend of late YSR, KVP Ramachandra Rao.
On the other hand Jagan is also trying to move closer to KVP so that he would bail Jagan out of the present crisis besides getting more MLAs from the Congress for his support.
It is learnt that KVP can in fact get the support around 20 MLAs for or against the Congress party. It has be seen which side will KVP swing.
TDP senior leader Warla Ramaiah said that the Assembly session should be convened to discuss the outbreak of diseases in the State. He said that the last session held could not discuss any public issues at all.
TRS floor leader Etela Rajender also demanded that the Assembly session be convened to discuss the public health, especially in the Telangana region apart from the state hood issue to Telangana in specific.
He charged that the Speaker Nadendla Manohar was taking advantage of his position and not accepting the resignations of the Telangana MLAs.
Bharatiya Janata Party President G Kishan Reddy said that the members should highlight the issues of public at least in this session.
Lok Satta legislator Jayprakash Narayan has demanded that the State Government extend its probe into Emaar and other irregularities to other land allotments. He also demanded that the assembly be convened to discuss the issues concerned general public.
