BJP gaining strength in Mahbubnagar Mahbubnagar: Campaigning for the by-elections for Mahbubnagar seat is progressing with poll scenario turning out to be unpredictable.
There is good news for Bharatiya Janta Party as its candidate Yennam Srinivas Reddy, a former TRS man, is getting support from his erstwhile colleagues from TRS. TRS decision to nominate a minority candidate Syed Ibrahim, for the by-polls had not sunk well with TRS cadre.
Hanwada ZPTC member Narender resigned from TRS in protest and extended open support to BJP candidate. He fired his first salvo against Kalvakuntla Chandrashekar Rao as his style of functioning is not democratic especially in the issue of nominating candidates for by-elections. It is not in accordance with the popular sentiment.
The people were critical of nominating a minority candidate, that too, who lost the 2009 Assembly elections from the same constituency. Narender is expected to join BJP officially in the presence of state president G Kishan Reddy during his next campaign schedule.
TRS student wing, TRSV state secretary Munnuru Ravi declared his joining BJP after deserting TRS just a couple of days ago. He said that BJP is the only party that can create Telangana state bowing to the sentiments of the local people.
Former municipal councilor and staunch follower of late MLA Rajeshwar Reddy, Anjaiah took admission to BJP. Efforts were on to woo prominent TDP leaders.
Yuva Telangana Party chief Jitta Balakrishna Reddy too extended his support to BJP.BJP coined a new slogan like 'Galli parties don't give Telangana, its Delhi parties that would give statehood'.
With aggressive campaign by BJP touching its peak there is varied thinking among the communally polarised voters. In support of BJP, RSS, VHP and ABVP workers descended on Mahbubnagar.
