TRS out to exploit Kadiam doublespeak Hyderabad: Making use of newer and more destructive weapons to win over the enemy is commonplace in ay war. It is ditto at the hustings too.
In their desperation to get elected, candidates devise innovative measures and strategies to win over the electorate.
Telangana Rastra Samithi (TRS) has unveiled one such weapon against Telugu Desam candidate in Station Ghanpur Assembly constituency.
Former minister Kadiam Srihari, who is the TD candidate, had vowed the people of Telangana during 'Sakala Janula Samme', that he would vote for T Rajaiah, then Congress MLA from Station Ghanpur, if the latter resigned for the cause of Telangana statehood. Right now, TRS intends to use this rhetoric as its weapon against Srihari.
The TRS leaders and cadre started distributing the CDs of Kadiam statement and screening it through the projectors across the Assembly segment. The TD cadre is going through embarrassment moments, as a consequence.
It may be recalled that Srihari had assured people from not only Station Ghanapur but from the entire Telangana region that he would fight against TD high command if the party did not vote in favour of bifurcation.
The TRS is using double-speak as a a double-edged weapon against the TDP leadership, which is desperate to stem the rot and hope to do well in the elections.
The Public Accounts Committee chairman R Prakash Reddy and MLA Errabelli Dayakara Rao covered various villages in the constituency and met the voters personally.
The TD is making all out efforts to win the hearts of the voters by declaring that the party is committed to the formation of Telangana.
They further charged that the Congress and TRS had colluded and were spreading false propaganda against the Telugu Desam.
On the other hand, Congress too intensified its campaign by reiterating that it was only the ruling party that could bring in Telangana State.
The Deputy Chief Minister D Rajanarasimha and former PCC president D Srinivas, who toured the constituency, tried to convince the voters about the party's stand on Telangana.
