Botsa turns to god to tide over troubles Hyderabad: Facing turbulent times, PCC chief Botsa Satyanarayana has turned to the almighty for benevolence.
Having performed pujas at Sri Suryanarayana Swamy Temple of Arasavalli in Srikakulam district some time back, he has reportedly flown to Nepal along with his family members and offered prayers at the famous Pasupathinath temple at Kathmandu on Saturday.
Botsa, who had gone to Delhi for finalisation of party candidates, met Ghulam Nabi Azad in the morning and later left for Kathmandu, party sources said.
Botsa has been on a collision course with Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy for quite some time and his alleged involvement in the liquor scam and the subsequent raids by ACB sleuths have put him in tight corner. He could not get solace from high command.
He is said to have been advised by some close astrologers that due to the negative influence of planets or grahas, he had many setbacks in recent times and he needs to invoke Lord Shiva and perform 'navagraha puja' to mitigate the bad karma.
Another Minister Mopidevi Venkata Ramana, who is also facing heavy odds in the liquor scam, has performed puja at Arasavalli.
