Kiran goes full throttle against Jagan Hyderabad: The Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy who has suddenly got into the top gear is spearheading the multi-pronged attack launched by the Congress Party against the YSR Congress chief and Kadapa MP, Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy.
The full scale offensive launched by the C M against him is considered to have been prompted by the insinuating remarks made by some of the senior leaders from within the party signaling their disapproval of his alleged soft stand towards Jagan.
Understandably the recent warning given by the party high command to win maximum number of seats at any cost or face music also must be working on him.
Thus Kiran had for the first time sounded highly critical of Jagan during his campaign in the coastal districts and Rayala Seema region.
He was deliberate in making references to Jagan's 'links' with elements facing criminal charges in different cases. Branding him the most power hungry leader seeking to become the chief minister overnight, Kiran Kumar Reddy had been trying to expose him at every forum during his campaign.
PCC Chief Botsa Satyanarayan and Rajya Sabha member Chiranjeevi also joined his battery mounting attack on Jaganmohan Reddy . All the three launched a virtual diatribe against him during their campaign in Tirupati.
Dissident leaders such as D L Ravindra Reddy, P Shankar Rao and Peddi Reddy who had been alleging a tacit understanding between the CM and Kadapa MP are said to be instrumental in bringing about the sudden change in the style and tone of Kiran.
Party M P Hanumanta Rao also questioned the'silence ' of CM. Some of the cabinet colleagues of the Chief Minister like Sailajanath also followed suit in going hammer and tong against the YSRCP Chief.
They are also deliberate in choosing Jaganmohan Reddy as their target during the campaign. They have been questioning the association of the likes of Mangali Krishna with him.
With the setting of election tones in this fashion even before the election notification is issued, the coming one month promises to throw up a very bitter war of words between the two camps.
