Exodus of leaders from Cong, TD likely Hyderabad: More leaders from the ruling Congress and Opposition Telugu Desam are likely to join the YSR Congress Party in the next couple of weeks, if the developments in the State capital are any indication.
The legislators, who were with Y S Jaganmohan Reddy initially and had gone back to the Congress, are likely to return to the YSR Congress. The return of Eluru legislator Alla Kalikrishna Srinivas alias Alla Nani to the YSRCP is seen as an indication.
Besides the legislators, several senior leaders from the two parties are rethinking and see it as a right time to jump onto the Jagan's bandwagon.
There is speculation that TDP legislators Kodali Nani from Gudivada and J Venkataramana from Kaikaluru, and Congress leader and former Krishna zilla parishad chairman K Nageswara Rao would jump into the YSR Congress anytime as they see the time apt for them to switch over.
Among the Congress leaders, Pedana legislator Jogi Ramesh and Tiruvur legislator D Padma Jyothi are in the first list of legislators to follow their Eluru colleague and stand by Jaganmohan Reddy.
The developments like entry of senior Rayalaseema leader M V Mysoora Reddy into the party and return of Y S Vivekananda Reddy, are seen as positive developments for the party.
The fence-sitters see a bright future for the YSR Congress after the June 12 by-elections and a debacle for the Congress and TDP. Mysoora Reddy's move is generating positive reactions from the second rung leaders along the coastal districts and the leaders are holding consultations with their cadre on their future course of action.
It is to be seen how many of the leaders, who were loyal to late Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, would fall in line to rally behind Jaganmohan Reddy in the changing political scenario.
