Balaiah to step in to resolve 'Nani' crisis Vijayawada: Film star and brother-in-law of TDP supremo Nara Chandrababu Naidu, Nandamuri Balakrishna has reportedly expressed his desire to put in efforts, in his own way, to dissolve the crisis, the party is facing after the suspension of Gudiwada MLA Kodali Nani from the party.
According to sources, TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu has given green signal to the proposal. Bala Krishna had expressed his desire to this effect many a time waiting for Babu's approval.
Kodali Nani's episode, according to sources hastened the process of Balakrishna's involvement in the party affairs. On this particular issue, the TDP got alerted and was ready to create confidence among party cadre and leaders in Krishna district with the involvement of Bala Krishna.
The TDP, it seems is not unduly perturbed at Kodali Nani's episode. State party leaders, including a few leaders from the district have expected these developments a couple of months ago.
This is the reason why the TDP leadership has acted swiftly against Nani without giving scope for discussion.
The party leadership is not worried much on the party position in Gudiwada constituency. The party has a strong Kamma base, added with majority BC support since the formation of the party since 1983.
The leadership is confident that these sections would remain firm with the party in the future also. The people in general have a soft corner for the party as it happens to the birth place of its founder Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao.
This is the main reason for the failure of NTR's son Hari Krishna who fought against the TDP in 1999 Assembly elections under the banner of Anna TDP with the support of Kodali Nani. Hari Krishna was pushed to third place after the TDP and the Congress.
In present crisis, most of the Kamma leaders and the BC sections remained with the party. The party, it is believed is more worried about the movement of some of the BC leaders and MLAs in the party than developments in Gudiwada constituency.
The movements of a former legislator with a strong BC base of his own and another sitting legislator from east Krishna appears to worrying the party. These two leaders enjoy their own vote bank with their caste support. These two leaders are the real strength for the party in east Krishna so far.
The YSR Congress Party leaders are reportedly eyeing these two leaders. In this backdrop, the party has reportedly decided to use the services of Balakrishna to the boost the morale of the party cadre and bring in a semblance of stability to the party in th district.
Balakrishna who is busy in shooting, is likely to interact with the party leaders of the district in Hyderabad in a couple of days, sources said.
The stage, according to sources, is already set for Bala Krishna to contest the forthcoming Assembly elections from Penamaluru constituency of the district.
Minister Parthasaradhi won the seat in the last election with a slim margin of below hundred votes. This is one of the reasons why Balakrishna is evincing keen interest in Krishna distruct political developments.
The actor's belief in astrology is also reportedly spurred his activity. According to astrological predictions, the actor's political career will be at its zenith in 2013.
