Congress bleeds with massive exodus to YSRC Hyderabad: A massive exit of cadres is in the offing for the Congress party in as many as ten districts of the State. Seniors have been urging restraint, but it seems to be of little use.
The exodus is more bound for the YSR Congress party. The defections are likely to bleed the Congress dry in some of its erstwhile strongholds.
The poor levels of the party preparedness to contain the drift particularly the elected members is going to be prime issue to be focused upon at a brain-storming session of the party senior leaders to be held in Gandhi Bhavan next week.
The YSR Congress has emerged as the most favoured destination for many of the MLAs, whose desertions is only a matter of time. Some of the MLAs made no secret of their preferences in Nalgonda.
The situation is quite deceptive in Ranga Reddy, Hyderabad, Medak and to some extent Mahbubnagar. Some of the legislators from these districts are only biding their time. 'There is little that we can do at this point of time' admitted some of the seniors.
