Azad turns a joker in the pack
Hyderabad, January 25 (INN): It seems like Ghulam Nabi Azad turns a joker in the pack. Many leaders feel, he is suffering from the foot-in-the mouth disease and some of them had openly vent their feelings.
Azad's most infamous statement that one month does not mean 30 days and it could be more. The statement shows lack of maturity or arrogance or both.
It is very unlikely for man of that status to give such explanations. Since the issue is complex, we need more time or the passions on both sides are high so we need to settle down before taking the statement could have been soft and diplomatic answers.
His body language, the tone and dialogue delivery clearly suggests his lack of sincerity and arrogance or both. During his earlier speeches as well, he never used to take the state leadership into confidence nor mention or acknowledge.
Divijay Singh and Vayalar Ravi, in the same capacity have always been cautious while making statements.
He stretched his snobbish attitude by explaining that of the one month some days were taken away by the Jaipur conference, some days will be taken away by festival, Pongal, Milad-un-Nabi and Republic Day and the sort so they were left only with a few (working) days.
Even a school kid would give better days for doing homework or failing in examination.
On a earlier occasion, he shot his mouth out during the by-elections campaign that he said YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is a young man in a hurry.
Had he been with Congress, he would have become union minister and later he could have become Chief Minister of the state one day. The remarks raised a hue and cry from political circles and Congress leaders alike.
He quickly withdrew the statement saying that he was misquoted. His Urdu/Hindi was understood by local press and they misquoted and he did not say that. Opposition could not make most of his remark is a different thing.
