State police wings grope in dark Hyderabad: The state police agencies appear to be groping in the dark. The investigators from Hyderabad police, Counter Intelligence Cell and the Crime Investigation Department had not been able to pick up even one person who could provide them with leads in regard to the twin bomb blasts in the Dilsukhnagar, while the Special Operations Team (SOT) of the Cyberabad police had already questioned a couple of people unsuccessfully.
The Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the city police has sought help from all walks of life to pass on any information or leads they have in regard to the bomb blasts.
Meanwhile, sources in CI Cell said there had been no progress in their investigations. 'It will take at least two to three months to achieve breakthrough for any investigating agency,' the sources said.
While its teams had been on a spree of questioning terror operatives arrested in the past and lodged in various jails in the country, one team analyzing the CCTV footage has sent it to a film editing studio in Mumbai for improving its quality as the images captured by the CCTV were not very clear.
It may be recalled the investigators have been trying to analyse the CCTV footage taken from a camera mounted on the traffic signal post in front of Dilsukhnagar Bus Station.
Though the camera was installed to record the vehicle movement, its powerful lens recorded the images of some suspicious movements near Anand Tiffins, where powerful bomb blast killed 16 people and left more than 100 injured last week.
However, the quality of the images is said to be poor and the analysts could not make out the features of a suspect moving with a bicycle looking around to park it at an ideal location for his advantage, sources said.
The NIA tried to improve the quality of the footage in the studios available in Hyderabad but they had been told that Mumbai was the best place in the country for such purposes.
Accordingly, a team of the NIA took the footage to a studio in Mumbai, sources said.
Meanwhile, the NIA teams began probing hawala transactions of some suspects in the last few months in a hope to find some leads in the case. It is suspected that three people involved in the case had got the money through Hawala Transaction.?
