Kavita to contest from Nizamabad HYDERABAD: Telangana Jagruthi president K Kavitha is likely to plunge into electoral politics in 2014 polls by contesting the Nizamabad Lok Sabha seat.
In all probability, her father and party supremo K Chandrasekhar Rao might announce her candidature from the party for the Nizamabad Parliamentary segment on April 27.
Rao is planning to announce party candidates for at least 30 Assembly segments along with Kavitha'~s candidature for Nizamabad Lok Sabha seat for the 2014 general elections on April 27, on the 13th anniversary of the TRS. Rao has dropped enough hints to his party leaders in this regard.
Kavitha has been playing a key role in the Telangana movement by taking up non-political issues concerning the region with her Telangana Jagruthi. She has been organising Telangana Food Festival and Telangana Batukamma Festival to protect the heritage of region.
