Baadshah of controversies

During the audio launch of the junior NTR starrer Baadshah, a fan died in the stampede and there were lot of unpleasant scenes. Producer Bandla Ganesh had to appear before the court and seek bail, pay compensation to the kin of the fan's family.

The producer himself was in trouble with tax sleuths raiding his house. Ganesh, who had humble beginnings, came up big-ticket pictures is some other things. We are not speaking of the film quality nor writing review.

But the Baadshah had been in the eye of storm and in many controversies, which has nothing to do with the film to start. Trouble started with Jr NTR stills from Baadshah appeared on a flexi banner alongside YS Jagan Mohan Reddy during the padayatra of Sharmila in Krishna district.

The incident took place after Gudivada MLA Kodali Nani defected to YSRCP from TDP. He is very close to Jr NTR. Nandamuri Balakrishna had to come down to Gudivada, organize meetings and announce that he will be contesting for Assembly, hinting that it will be Gudivada.

The constituency has gained importance as it covers Nimmakuru, the birth place of TDP founder President NTR.

Before Vasthunna Meekosam padayatra entered Krishna district Chandrababu Naidu held a meeting with Harikrishna as well to signal that he respects the Nandamuri clan.

But that did not work to the intended purpose as Sharmila got a huge response in Krishna district and the banner with Jr NTR came up.

Though the persons, who put out the banner, said that they were the fans of Jr NTR and Jagan, the matter did not go well with the TDP circles.

As if that is not enough, now NTR has appeared in a flexi banner at Sharmila's padayatra. This has enraged TDP who shifted to war mode. The blame again went to an overenthusiastic fan but political circles are not satisfied with the reply.

This time TDP has come into the open asking why NTR's picture has been used. Some argue that the party, flag and power were usurped from NTR by Chandrababu Naidu and the present day TDP is not the original one founded by NTR.

All said and done, TDP cadre contend that they are the heirs of NTR and his picture appearing in the meetings of YSRCP is malicious. There was no reply on part of YSRCP. NTR and his Junior continue to hog the political limelight, polls or no polls.
