Will Naidu expell Harikrishna from party? Hyderabad: The rift between Telugu Desam Party (TDP) supremo N Chandrababu Naidu and his brother in law Nandamuri Hari Krishna, who is also a Party MP, seems to be widening with each passing day.
The simmering differences between the two leaders once again came to the fore on Wednesday when Harikrishna and his son and popular tollywood actor Junior NTR did not turn up at the marriage of his brother Balakrishna's daughter.
This has not only put to rest the rumors of strong differences persists between Naidu and Harikrishna and also led to a demand of expelling the latter from the party.
'Harikrishna lost the basic right to continue in the party after resorting to anti-party activities. He should be immediately expelled from the party,' said a senior party leader.
Former minister and party MLA KE Krishnamurthy said that nobody is above party discipline and everybody has to abide it. 'All of us have to abide by the discipline of the party.
If anybody violates it he should be punished. We did the same thing in case of Dadi Veerabadra Rao, who worked as floor leader of TDP in AP Legislative Council,' he said. Party sources informed that they would seek explanation from Harikirishna before taking disciplinary action against him.
'We give enough time even to a man who faces charges that bring the death sentence. We will do the same thing with Harikrishna. We will seek explanation before initiating the disciplinary action,' they informed.
